What Vertex Protect Reads
Vertex Protect reads the audit log of servers it has been set up in, and looks up the roles of members whose actions it needs to check. It does not read messages and does not use any privileged intents.
What Is Stored
- Each server's settings: the alert channel, alert role, limits, protections and punishment.
- The user and role IDs a server has trusted or made a Vertex Protect admin, and who added them.
- Counted actions, such as bans, kicks and deleted channels: who did it, the ID and name of what it affected, and when. These are deleted after 24 hours.
- For members in quarantine: their user ID, the IDs of the roles taken from them, why and when. This is deleted when they are released or leave the server.
- Incidents where Vertex Protect stepped in: who, what happened and what it did. These are deleted after 90 days.
- Strikes given with
/strike: the member's user ID, the reason, who gave it, which server and when. Strikes are kept until a member of staff removes them. Members can see their own with/mystrikes. - The user IDs of global staff, and the main server and staff role chosen on the dashboard.
Nothing is sold or shared. Alerts are posted only in the channel the server chose.
Removing Your Data
Remove Vertex Protect from the server and its settings stop being used. To have a server's stored settings and history deleted straight away, ask in the o1x.net support server.
This Website
This site has no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts. Signing in to the dashboard with Discord sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to eight hours, and a short-lived cookie that protects the sign-in from forgery. Vertex Protect only asks Discord for your username and avatar, and doesn't store them. Your browser also stores one flag so the cookie notice isn't shown again. The site and bot run on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs such as IP addresses for security and reliability. Discord's handling of your data is covered by Discord's Privacy Policy.
